What is Yoga Alignment?
Inspired by my various trainings, the Alignment yoga that I teach is a mix between the precision of Iyengar and the flow of Hatha-Vinyasa , while respecting the transmission of traditional yoga .
Essentially based on Asanas and Pranayama (circulation of vital energy through breathing), the rigorous and demanding practice of alignment will allow you to approach with regularity and consistency the development of strength , endurance , safe alignment of the body , while working on flexibility, relaxation and physical and emotional balance, thus giving access to all the different dynamics that yoga can offer.
During the session, the mind is focused on the action and movement of breathing , so as to unite body and breath , to reach a meditative state .
Through practice, students improve their inner awareness , and acutely discover areas of physical tension and psychological resistance .
With this new perspective on oneself, we seek to rebalance the body by relieving areas of tension and re-energizing dormant areas , in order to relax the body deeply and lastingly.
The use of supports (straps, bricks, blankets, walls, chairs, etc.) allows everyone to practice with precision without causing damage , whatever the particular cases and physical condition , while bringing variations and creativity in the approach to the postures.
